DARK TO LIGHT SOLUTIONS ON HOW OUR NEIGHBORHOODS, NURSING HOMES, POLICE DEPARTMENTS, MILITARY, AND HOSPITALS SHOULD BE CONSTRUCTED TO SERVE WE THE PEOPLE.
Just think what this world would be like if evil was defeated. If evil was defeated, we would have a world of Kindness in our hearts and actions with our bodies.
Let’s dream together for several minutes. What if there was no evil in the world.
If every human being allowed themselves to be motivated by Kindness and Love for each other. What an amazing place our world could be. Think of a world like this.
1. Neighborhoods where we show kindness, love, and help to all our neighbors.
2. Nursing Homes that are fully staffed and designed for its residents and staff. How wonderful it would be for our loved ones in nursing homes to live their remaining years with the best care possible given to them.
3. Police Departments designed to serve and help the people in its community.
4. A Military completely redesigned to serve those in need.
5. Hospitals that promote health and are owned by the community in which the hospital is located.
Keep in mind these important words
1. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”
2. Evil is never defeated by evil; once that road is taken, rather than defeating evil, one will instead be defeated by evil.
3. Saint Paul proposes, to flee what is evil and hold fast to what is good ( rom 12:9).
4. The one way out of the vicious circle of requiting evil for evil is to accept the apostle’s words:
“do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good” (Rom 12:21). As stated in number one above.
We must overcome evil with every act of kindness we can give to every person we come in contact with. Love and kindness can defeat evil. To steer a path between the conflicting claims of good and evil, the human family must work towards moral values bestowed by God himself.
For this reason, Saint Paul encourages all those determined to overcome evil with good to be noble in fostering generosity and peace Romans 12, 17 through 21.
We must overcome evil with every act of kindness we can give to every person we come in contact with. Love and kindness can defeat evil.
In closing, don’t wait for someone to start your neighborhood kindness group. This is your opportunity to make a difference in the war of good vs evil.
Just think what would happen in a community of 30,000 if a neighborhood kindness group sprang up. Then another, and then another. Wow what a place to live.
1. Dark To Light Solutions On How Our Neighborhoods Should Be Organized And Constructed.
We can overcome many of problems we face in the world with acts of kindness in our neighborhoods. Love and kindness can be the solutions to many of the problems WE THE PEOPLE, face in the world we live in today. This is how we can start our acts of kindness. It is important to say that some of you will be limited as to your acts of kindness.
Also, with all the evil in the world each individual must be cautious in what they can do. Acts of kindness that you can give others will depend on many different factors.
1. The size and make up of your family.
2. If you are a male or a female.
3. Your financial being.
4. Your skill level in different subjects.
5. Your age and physical health.
6. And others
In your morning prayers ask God to guide you in your daily acts of kindness. Now let’s get started.
1. First act of kindness- yourself. It is important that we start with ourselves and be kind to ourselves.
Being kind to yourself is essential for fostering self-compassion and well-being. It allows us to navigate challenges with grace, letting go of harsh self-judgment. Here are some profound quotes that remind us to be gentle with ourselves: “you yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.”
“remember, you are a work in progress, and that’s okay. Be kind to yourself along the journey.”
“you are not a mess. You are a feeling person in a messy world.”“Stop hating yourself for everything you aren’t and start loving yourself for everything you already are.”
2. Second act of kindness- your family. There is nothing more important than being kind to your family members. Set an example for your family and they will follow your leadership. Hold family meetings and talk about how your family can be kind to each other and other people they come in contact.
3. Third act of kindness- your neighborhood. Walk around the block in which your home is located and the homes on both sides of the street and any Cul de sacs are part of your neighborhood. Give your neighborhood a name such as, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood.” Use the name of the street where you live. Then do the following.
A. Walk your neighborhood, in my case it would be, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood,” with your spouse.
A. Introduce yourself to your neighbors and let them know that you are forming a neighborhood group known as, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood.”
B. Discuss with them the purpose of forming the neighborhood group. Getting to know our neighbors and being there to help any neighbor in need.
C. Have with you a form for each neighbor to fill out and a form that you could leave on the door of neighbors not at home. On that form would be a section explaining purpose of, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood.” Next would be a section where they could fill out their address contact information.
Names of their family members, emails, phone, a section for any skills that they have that they would be willing to help out other members of the neighborhood in a time of need. Those skills would be things such as plumbing, electrical, computer skills, lawn care, basic automotive skills, etc.
On the form would be a section for each household to fill out that would be for any needs that they might have. Next you would discuss with them the signal app which would be used for that neighborhood to keep in contact with each other. The signal app is free to download and was developed to send encrypted text, image, audio, and video messages to groups.
The signal app has also expanded its support for group chats. Group administrators can be selected, which can add or remove people from the group. Group links can also be sent out for anyone to join a signal group.
In this case the name of the signal group would be, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood.”
D. After you form your group there are so many things you could do.
1. Have neighborhood get togethers at least once a month to get to know each other.
2. Help those neighbor’s in need, have prayer group meetings weekly.
3. Erect signs on the streets of your neighborhood saying, “Jolly Way Kindness Neighborhood.” Those signs would help spread kindness to other neighborhoods in the community.
4. Just think how wonderful it would be if one of your neighbors lost a pet and the whole neighborhood would get-together looking for their pet.
5. What if a senior needed some light bulbs to be changed and they had no business getting on a ladder to change them.
4. Fourth act of kindness- grocery shopping. When shopping at the grocery store there are so many acts of kindness you can do.
A. See someone with a veteran’s hat, thank them for their service.
B. See a fireman, law enforcement officer, thank them for their service.
C. See a senior struggling to reach something help them.
D. In congested isles let others go in front of you.
E. If you are in the checkout line and someone is behind you with just a few items, let them go ahead of you.
F. If you are shopping on a holiday, tell the cashier that you are sorry they have to work on a holiday but they are appreciated .
G. If someone lets you go around them, say thanks for your kindness.
H. And the list goes on and on.
SUMMARY- Why Kindness Neighborhoods are Important.
A Kindness Neighborhood can help transform a group of houses into a caring, connected community. By getting to know one another, sharing useful skills, communicating regularly and helping neighbors in times of need, we can overcome many of the problems caused by loneliness, division and hardship.
Simple acts—such as assisting a senior, searching for a lost pet, supporting a struggling family or gathering together for fellowship and prayer—can make every neighbor feel valued and protected.
Kindness begins with caring for ourselves, continues within our families and then spreads throughout our neighborhoods and communities. Everyone’s ability to help will be different depending on age, health, finances, family responsibilities and personal skills. Each person should help safely and according to what they are able to do.
With prayer, wisdom and caution, we can look for opportunities to serve others every day. Even small gestures at the grocery store—thanking a veteran or first responder, helping someone reach an item, allowing another shopper to go ahead or showing appreciation to an employee—can brighten someone’s day and inspire more kindness.
A Kindness Neighborhood restores the neighborly spirit our communities desperately need. It encourages trust, cooperation, preparedness and compassion while reminding us that we are not alone. When love and kindness spread from one person to one family, from one family to one neighborhood and from one neighborhood to another, WE THE PEOPLE can help bring our communities from darkness into light.
